Spotsylvania County Public Schools (VA) Selects Synergy

Edupoint® Educational Systems, a leading student information system (SIS) solution for the national K-12 market, has been selected by Spotsylvania County Public Schools to implement its Synergy® Education Platform.  Seeking to replace a legacy system that no longer met district needs, Spotsylvania sought a system that included not only a rich SIS feature set, but also integrated special education functionality and role-based mobile applications.

Spotsylvania County Public Schools, located in northern Virginia, needed a modern solution to support the district’s 24,000 students across 34 campuses.  After extensive solution demonstrations to multiple user groups – including teachers, office staff, and district administrators – the district selected Synergy for its rich SIS feature set, streamlined state reporting, and role-based dashboards that place relevant information right at an individual user’s fingertips.  The Synergy® Special Education (SE) module will provide the district with robust collaboration tools and customized workflows to streamline the special education process, while powerful web and mobile applications ensure parents and students are engaged in the education process with real-time information about what’s happening in the classroom, including current grades and automatic alerts about attendance and discipline issues.
