Edupoint’s Synergy Education Platform Selected by Arizona Department of Education as Statewide SIS Solution
Edupoint® Educational Systems, a leading student information system (SIS) provider for the national K-12 market, has been awarded the contract to provide a Statewide Student Information System (SSIS) to the state of Arizona by the Arizona Department of Education (ADE). The SSIS will provide Local Education Agencies (LEA) throughout Arizona with extensive student management functionality and seamless integration with other ADE systems, as well as world-class scheduling, gradebook, and family engagement capabilities.
The ADE asked LEAs across the state what technology solutions were needed to effectively educate Arizona’s students, and one of their most critical needs is a technologically advanced – and affordable – student information system. An ADE committee, comprised of members from LEAs across the state utilizing a variety of SIS solutions in their district environments, developed a comprehensive list of over 1500 requirements that an SSIS must possess. After extensive solution demonstrations to the ADE selection committee, Synergy was selected, due in part to the system’s rich feature set that enables districts to manage student information and instruction and optimize both district and student performance.
The Synergy® Student Information System is already utilized by 87 school districts throughout Arizona, supporting over 500,000 students and 25,000 teachers. Under terms of the contract with the ADE, LEAs throughout the state can opt in and choose subscription or perpetual licensing for the Synergy Student Information System. In addition to extensive student data management and reporting functionality, Synergy provides districts with the powerful TeacherVUE™ Gradebook, which supports traditional or standards-based grading and enables teachers to analyze student performance in real-time with customizable graphical views of assessment results data. Synergy also provides robust visual scheduling, intuitive collaboration tools, role-based mobile applications, Arizona state reporting, and parent portals to strengthen the home-school connection.
“We are extremely honored to have been selected by the ADE as the statewide SIS provider for Arizona,” says Robert Weathers, Founder & CEO of Edupoint. “As an Arizona company, we’ve been committed to the state for over 15 years to provide innovative solutions that harness both student and instructional data to inform teaching, increase collaboration, and positively impact student success. We’re pleased to continue our relationship with our loyal Synergy customers throughout the state, and look forward to working together with the ADE to welcome new districts to the Synergy family.”
Arizona LEAs can opt in to implement the Synergy SSIS by contacting the ADE directly. LEAs also have the ability to license optional Synergy modules through the ADE at pre-negotiated prices, including Synergy Online Registration, Synergy Assessment, LessonVUE™ curriculum and instructional management, and Synergy® Special Education. The ADE will provide support to all districts for the new SSIS in order to ensure compatibility with Arizona Education Learning and Accountability System (AELAS) systems and technologies.
