Use Guardrails Against Bias

For opted-in districts, ChatGPT by OpenAI is integrated into Synergy via controlled prompts that are engineered by Edupoint and fully transparent in Synergy code. With generative AI already in use in classrooms and districts, this approach provides a measure of protection and standardization for districts. OpenAI is a trust leader in generative AI, training ChatGPT on a diverse dataset, actively working to identify and mitigate potential bias, and engaging in rigorous testing to ensure that its product aligns with the company’s guidelines for fairness and ethical use.

Give Districts Control

Your district decides whether you use AI, where you use it, and how you use it. AI generated content is presented for review and acceptance before it is committed to the database, providing full control over what you decide to use. All AI features obey the Synergy security settings your district has established, so users can only access the AI-related tools relevant to their role and permissions.

Always Protect Data

The privacy and security of your data will always be our top concern at Edupoint. Synergy never passes personally identifiable information to an AI tool. We use non-identifying tokens in place of data, and Synergy keeps track of the tokens passed back and forth to render the AI output correctly in Synergy with your data exactly where it belongs.
